All physicians are board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or American Board of Family Medicine. In addition, Dr. Loden and Dr. Taylor are certified by the American Society of Hypertension Specialists.

 

Julian D. Loden, M.D.

A Fulton native, Julian Loden, M.D., is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine and a Certified Hypertension Specialist. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He received his Medical Doctorate at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, after which he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Dr. Loden is one of the founding physicians of Tupelo Medical Group, which opened in May 1998. Dr. Loden has been practicing medicine for 25 years.  He is a Certified Hypertension Specialist and enjoys assisting patients to get their blood pressure under control with lifestyle changes and medications as needed. He treats and monitors other chronic illnesses as well as acute problems as they arise. He also enjoys doing minor procedures in the office, such as, biopsies and skin lesion removals.

When he is not working, Dr. Loden spends time with family, biking and watching the Rebels. Dr. Loden is currently accepting new patients.  

Benjamin R. Gilliland, M.D.

A Tupelo native Benjamin Gilliland, M.D., is a board certified physician in Family Medicine and a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s of Science. He received his Medical Doctorate at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, after which he completed his Family Medicine Residency at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Gilliland enjoys caring for each patient and tailoring his or her medical care to personal needs and preferences. As a family physician, Dr. Gilliland seeks to work alongside his patients with the goals of: improving their overall health with lifestyle changes rather than medications and preventing future medical issues. He works diligently in treating patients with diabetes and other chronic medical illnesses but is also proficient in caring for those with acute needs as they arise.

When he is not working, Dr. Gilliland spends time with his family, training his labrador, waterfowl hunting, and spending time outdoors. He is currently accepting new patients.

 
 

Pami J. Taylor, M.D.

Pami Taylor, MD is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine and a Certified Hypertension Specialist. She graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She received her Medical Doctorate at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, after which she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Dr. Taylor has been in practice for 25 years and a partner at Tupelo Medical Group for 21 years. Dr. Taylor enjoys treating patients and diagnosing medical problems. Dr. Taylor also focuses on preventive health and the prevention of chronic medical problems. She treats chronic health conditions along with any acute illnesses. She does her best to help patients utilize their medical benefits to get the best possible care. 

When she is not working, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with family, running, swimming and traveling. She is currently accepting new patients. 

Jessica Childs, AGNP-C

A Ripley native, Jessica Childs, AGNP-C, is a board certified Adult Geriatric nurse practitioner. Mrs. Childs graduated from Northeast Community College with an associate degree in Nursing in 2006. She graduated from University of North Alabama in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She went on to get her master’s degree in Nursing at the University of Alabama in 2021.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Mrs. Childs worked in ICU for 6 years and in women’s surgery for 10 years. Mrs. Childs has been with Tupelo Medical Group since November 2022. She has been trained in adult-geriatric health. She is trained to assess and treat acute and chronic health conditions in adult patients. She also performs annual wellness exams in adult patients.

Mrs. Childs is married to Cole, and they have 3 children, Asa, Layla Quinn and McKinley. She attends Falkner Baptist Church. In her spare time, Mrs. Childs enjoys spending time at her kid’s sporting events and cow shows.  

 
 

Carmen Raines, FNP-C

A Saltillo native, Carmen Raines is a certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She received her Master’s of Science degree in nursing from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, in 2014 and holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. 

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Mrs. Raines enjoyed 20 years of bedside nursing in various specialties including medical/surgical, hospice/palliative and internal medicine. She has been a Nurse Practitioner for 7 years at Tupelo Medical Group. Mrs. Raines has been trained to assess and treat acute and chronic health conditions. She can also perform yearly preventative physicals.

When she is not working, Mrs. Raines enjoys spending time with family, vacationing at the beach and enjoying the lake. She is currently accepting new patients. 

 

Meagan Hillhouse, FNP-C

Meagan Hillhouse is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2015.

She enjoyed four years of clinic and surgical nursing. She then obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2018 and holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She is married to Warren Hillhouse and they have one child, Wyatt. She attends Chickenbone Baptist Church where her husband is a Deacon. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, hunting, going to the lake, camping and shopping. 

 

 

 

Carrie Weaver, RHIT

A Houston native, Carrie Weaver is the Office Manager at Tupelo Medical Group. She has been an employee of Tupelo Medical Group since 2006.

She graduated from Itawamba Community College in Fulton, MS, in 2006 with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology. She is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). 

Mrs. Weaver’s goal is for Tupelo Medical Group to be the best primary care clinic in North Mississippi. She is available by calling 662-840-2131.
